Length about 6.5 cm; written on the side of the handle of the situla, starting at about 4 cm from the right end (when reading the inscription). Applied with comparatively broad strokes (~1 mm). Note that, if the inscription was not applied before the handle was attached, but with the handle lying on the situla's rim, it is in the same place and has the same orientation as CE-1.5.

The inscription is tidy, with the hastae made out of two strokes due to the curving surface; the reading is unambiguous. A slighter mark of the tool (?), a short, slightly oblique stroke, can be seen right behind final I s, but does not cast doubt on the reading. The first part of the sequence can be identified as the Raetic individual name lavise; śeli is obscure. A patronymic is missing – possibly to be found in CE-1.2? But the latter appears to have been applied with a different tool.
