Length about 6.3 cm; written on the rim of the situla, starting at about 14 cm after , facing outward. Applied neatly with thin strokes (>1 mm). See for a discussion of whether the five sequences on the situla should be considerd part of one inscription or not. and CE-1.3 resemble each other in ductus (vertical hastae in Alpha and Upsilon, vertical second bar in Nu) and execution (fine tool, slender letters) and may well have been written by the same person.
The inscription is tidy, the reading is unambiguous. The small oblique mark inside the angle of initial is slighter than the others and certainly unintentional. The two sequences can be interpreted as a patronymic and an individual name, though not in the more usual order. They are separated by a pronounced distance (0.7 cm); a punctuation mark is used to separate the patronymic suffix from the base. The find place of the inscription lies between the alphabets of Sanzeno and Magrè, that is, their respective areas of use, so word-internal punctuation is not completely out of place. But note that this is the only separator in any of the inscriptions on the , and especially the patronymic in is not punctuated. CE-1.3 is also the only inscription on the object which has Pi. The letter is turned with its bar extending in writing direction, "Lugano-style", which does not fit with either Sanzeno or Magrè alphabet (a reading as Lambda is excluded by the presence of ) – see for a discussion.

Length about 6.3 cm; written on the rim of the situla, starting at about 14 cm after CE-1.2, facing outward. Applied neatly with thin strokes (>1 mm). See CE-1.4 for a discussion of whether the five sequences on the situla should be considerd part of one inscription or not. CE-1.2 and CE-1.3 resemble each other in ductus (vertical hastae in Alpha and Upsilon, vertical second bar in Nu) and execution (fine tool, slender letters) and may well have been written by the same person.
The inscription is tidy, the reading is unambiguous. The small oblique mark inside the angle of initial is slighter than the others and certainly unintentional. The two sequences can be interpreted as a patronymic and an individual name, though not in the more usual order. They are separated by a pronounced distance (0.7 cm); a punctuation mark is used to separate the patronymic suffix -nu from the base. The find place of the inscription lies between the alphabets of Sanzeno and Magrè, that is, their respective areas of use, so word-internal punctuation is not completely out of place. But note that this is the only separator in any of the inscriptions on the situla, and especially the patronymic in CE-1.2 is not punctuated. CE-1.3 is also the only inscription on the object which has Pi. The letter is turned with its bar extending in writing direction, "Lugano-style", which does not fit with either Sanzeno or Magrè alphabet (a reading as Lambda is excluded by the presence of ) – see P for a discussion.
