Commentary
First published in Mayr 1951: 133 (no. XI). Autopsied by TIR in October 2014.

Inscribed on the front of the bronze, the first word on the head of the right-hand side horse (length about 2.5 cm), the second word on the shared torso above the ridge running along it (length about 4.2 cm). The letters are well legible and unambiguous.
vetelie is best interpreted as an individual name in -ie. erikian remains obscure.
On the lower side of the belly (below the ridge) a number of marks (both lines, struck with a different instrument than the inscription, and dots; see drawing); cp. diverse marks on other Sanzeno bronzes.
