Inscribed on the front of the bronze, the first word on the head of the right-hand side horse (length about 2.5 cm), the second word on the shared torso above the ridge running along it (length about 4.2 cm). The letters are well legible and unambiguous.
{{w||vetelie}} is best interpreted as an individual name in -{{p||i}}{{p||e}}. {{w||erikian}} remains obscure.
On the lower side of the belly (below the ridge) a number of marks (both lines, struck with a different instrument than the inscription, and dots; see drawing); cp. diverse marks on other Sanzeno bronzes.
