Commentary

The inscription is damaged by cracks (vertical after the first four signs and before the last three, horizontal along the upper part of the middle section) and abrasion - on the middle fragment, the lower parts of the signs are gone. Two lacunae after the cracks.
The signs on the first fragment are readable without difficulty: riθi. Partly damaged by the crack, the next letter could be A d (with unusual orientation) or E s with the third twig missing, which would yield riθie (compare ...). After the lacuna, the upper angle of an E s or V s, damaged by the horizontal crack, can be distinguished, followed by an oblique stroke, also damaged, slanting from left to right - possibly the upper third of an S s. The following stroke could then only be read as I s, since the next group of strokes can be identified with reasonable certainty as Χ s. Of the next two letters, though not spoilt by the crack, only angles are left, the first with two oblique strokes - probably U s as in case of A d a trace of the twig should be left -, the second with one straight and one curved line, which could be U5 s or, considering the preceding sign, more probably R2 s. Right before the second crack a hasta with the trace of one twig (E s or V s), then the second lacuna. On the next fragment a single stroke which can hardly be anything but I s, and finally undamaged E sL s. riθie?esigurvile
