Commentary
Large lintel block.
On the south side of the rock a source. The north west rock face overhanging and therefore protection from weather.
On the northwest side about 17 Raetic inscriptions (cp. ....) which date to the La Tène period. On the northeast side also various scratchings which date to modern times.
The find place is located in the Achensee region which is part of the Northern Limestone Alps. This mountain range is made of lighter and more porous rock at which the major component is limestone. Additionally dolomite, marl, sandstone or comparable components appear.
