Commentary

First published in IR. Autopsied by TIR in 2013.

Pictures in Nothdurfter 1979: 100 (1077) (drawing), IR (drawing =LIR) and LIR (photo).

Inscription length 3.3 cm. Heavily corroded, only traces of characters are visible. The reading given follows Nothdurfter and Mancini. Possibly belonging with this group of inscriptions on Sanzeno scythe rings, although this object is bigger than the others, and no trace of la is visible on the inside. Compare maybe SZ-48. See here for a discussion of possible interpretations of inscriptions with doubtful status.
