Commentary

First published in Schumacher 2004. Non vidi.

Images in Schumacher 2004: Taf. 3,4 (drawing), LIR (drawing), MLR: (drawing = Schumacher 2004: Taf. 3,4).

Length of the remains 3.2 cm. Of E s, only the bars are visible; the lowest bar of S d is missing. Although more potsherds bearing non-script marks were found in this context, the inscription does appear to contain proper letters. Possibly the ending of an individual name in the pertinentive plus the first letter of the patronymic, but note that plain pottery does not usually bear name formulas in Raetic context.
