Morphemic analysis: φutiχi-nu
Meaning: 'son of Φutiχi*'

Commentary

Patronym in -nu, attested only once. Schumacher 1998: 96 identifies -ki- with the k-suffixes prevalent in the individual names in Roman inscriptions of the area of Breschia (Untermann 1961: 103 f.). For the assumed suffix cp. valθikinu, as well as maybe velχanu, visteχanu. For the first element cp. Venetic butijakos (Ca 17) and butto (in Roman inscriptions from Ig near Ljubljana, CIL III 3801, 3809) (Schumacher 1998: 96, Schumacher 2004: 313).
