Commentary
First published in IR. Autopsied by TIR in November 2013.
Pictures in Nothdurfter 1979: 100 (1075) (drawing) and IR (photo tav. XLV, fig. c and drawing = LIR).
Inscription length 5.2 cm. SZ-44.1 differs from the similar inscriptions on scythe rings in that it runs in the opposite direction, as on the chisel and knife. It also features an additional smaller stroke before and two little crosses inside the and in between the two s, which have been ignored in the reading due to the abovementioned parallels.
