Commentary

Of the second , only a trace, not filled with white inlay, is left. The writing direction is ambiguous, but a sinistroverse reading is more probable not only statistically, but also because inscriptions on this type of handle are generally written as seen from the internal side (compare SZ-35).
The object bears another, identical inscription SZ-37.1.
