Numerous casts have been made of the Steinberg inscriptions; positives of the most recent one, made by the Institut für Ur- und Frühgeschichte Innsbruck in 1993, can be seen at the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum and the Archäologische Staatssammlung München. Drawings of the arrangement of the inscriptions in Vetter 1957: 386, Prosdocimi 1971: 30, Zavaroni 2004: Fig. 15 and Schumacher 2002: 1276 (= Schumacher 2004: Taf 8,1).
Putative traces of an inscription running vertically upwards between the typical frame lines some 25 cm to the right of the beginning of ST-6, proposed by Otto Kurz via Vetter (p. 385). Kurz read sinistroverse ḳịṣẹ, while Vetter saw kuse (with upsilon 
) on the cast made by Kurz. Joppich 1971: 43 and Prosdocimi 1971: 46 agree that the scratches are "inutilizzabile". Schumacher 1998b: 173 f. observes that the traces, so much less clear than the lines in the other inscriptions, are highly unlikely to be intentionally carved, and considers ST-7 a pseudo-inscription.
