Morphemic analysis: φutiχi-nu
Meaning: 'son of Φutiχi*'

Commentary

Patronym in -nu, attested only once. Schumacher 1998: 96 identifies -ki- with the k-suffixes prevalent in the individual names in Roman inscriptions of the area of Breschia (Untermann 1961 I: 103 f.). For the suffix cp. valθikinu, ]θiχinu (MA-20), as well as maybe velχanu, visteχanu. For the first element cp. Venetic butijakos (Ca 17) and butto (in Roman inscriptions from Ig near Ljubljana, CIL III 3801, 3809) (Schumacher 1998: 96, Schumacher 2004: 313).
