Commentary

First published in Mayr 1947.

Images in Mayr 1960d: Abb. 1 (photo), IR (photo tav. LIII b and drawing = LIR), MLR (photo and transcription of the inscription).

Length 2.5 cm. Each line is executed with numerous thin little scratches, but apart from the hasta of R s, the inscription is very tidy; the reading is unambiguous. A crack opening at the bottom follows the lower bar of R s. ruśie is most easily interpreted as a Raetic individual name in the nominative case with the typical auslaut in -ie.
