Commentary
First published in Schumacher 1992. Autopsied by TIR in November 2013.
Pictures in Sinnhuber 1949: Taf. XXV (43) (photo) and Schumacher 2004: Taf. 5,3 (drawing) and 6,2 (photo).
Contradictory statements concerning the craftsmanship in Sinnhuber 1949: 64 (before firing) and Schumacher 2004 (after firing). The signs on this as well as on the other potsherds found at the Himmelreich were retraced with chalk for the photo in Sinnhuber 1949.
Read piva by Schumacher and Mancini with upside-down , because turning the inscription by 180° turns into rare . Compare, however, in the inscriptions of Steinberg.
