The writing direction is ambiguous, but a sinistroverse reading is more probable not only statistically, but also because inscriptions on this type of handle are generally written as seen from the internal side (compare [[index::SZ-35]]).<br>The object bears another, identical inscription [[index::SZ-37.1]].
