The first three characters and the upper part of the fourth are well distingushable on the first fragment. The fourth letter is disturbed by a break; its right half on the second fragment is much fainter, but {{c||A15|d}} is feasible. Next, {{c||M|d}} is complete, though faint, with a longish and almost straight third bar. Of {{c||N|d}}, the hasta and the tip of the angle can be seen on fragment 2, the rest of the letter appears even fainter on the third fragment. After {{c||N|d}}, a hasta can be seen on both fragments; two bars extending from it in the upper area (the lower part being missing) might be guessed at, but can by no means be confirmed – {{c||E|d}} suggests itself. No traces of lines can be seen after dubious {{c||E|d}} on fragment 3, so the inscription may be complete. On the well attested name {{w||piθam(n)e|piθamne}} see the word page and cp. Inscribed on the narrow bottom of the beaker, the tops of the characters pointing towards the foot. The characters take up the entire breadth of the bottom; length about 7.5 cm. The object is restored, but the inscription is written on three different fragments in different states of preservation.

The first three characters and the upper part of the fourth are well distingushable on the first fragment. The fourth letter is disturbed by a break; its right half on the second fragment is much fainter, but A15 d is feasible. Next, M d is complete, though faint, with a longish and almost straight third bar. Of N d, the hasta and the tip of the angle can be seen on fragment 2, the rest of the letter appears even fainter on the third fragment. After N d, a hasta can be seen on both fragments; two bars extending from it in the upper area (the lower part being missing) might be guessed at, but can by no means be confirmed – E d suggests itself. No traces of lines can be seen after dubious E d on fragment 3, so the inscription may be complete. On the well attested name piθamne see the word page and cp. AS-19.1.
