A reading {{w||iiv}} or {{c||E}}{{c||I}}{{c||I}} {{w||iie}} (with the uppermost twig broken away) is possible, but the scratches are most probably ornamental: The vertical strokes seem to be repeated on the more heavily damaged other end, and are also found on [[index::SZ-22 handle]]; the oblique stokes may be intended to be script-like. | |||

A reading iiv or 
iie (with the uppermost twig broken away) is possible, but the scratches are most probably ornamental: The vertical strokes seem to be repeated on the more heavily damaged other end, and are also found on SZ-22 handle; the oblique stokes may be intended to be script-like.
