For some time this was regarded as the fragment of a sinistroverse inscription, running vertically upwards between the typical frame lines some 25 cm to the right of the beginning of [[index::ST-6]], proposed by Otto <span style="font-variant:small-caps;">Kurz</span>, who read {{w||k&#x0323;i&#x0323;s&#x0323;e&#x0323;}}; on the cast made by <span style="font-variant:small-caps;">Kurz</span>, {{bib|Vetter 1957|Vetter}} saw {{w||kuse}} with {{c||addU1}} {{p||u}}. Even {{bib|Prosdocimi 1971}}: 38, 46 and {{bib|Joppich 1971}}: 43, regarded this as illegible remains of an inscription. However, following a new autopsy of the site, {{bib|Schumacher 1998b}}: 173–174 made clear that this is not to be called an inscription. The only thing that can be seen is some dents in the surface that cannot be due to human intervention but are typical of the local limestone rocks.
Putative traces of an inscription running vertically upwards between the typical frame lines some 25 cm to the right of the beginning of [[index::ST-6]], proposed by Otto Kurz via Vetter (p. 385). Kurz read sinistroverse ''k&#x0323;i&#x0323;s&#x0323;e&#x0323;'', while Vetter saw ''kuse'' (with upsilon {{c||addU1}}) on the cast made by Kurz. {{bib|Joppich 1971}}: 43 and {{bib|Prosdocimi 1971}}: 46 agree that the scratches are "inutilizzabile". {{bib|Schumacher 1998b}}: 173 f. observes that the traces, so much less clear than the lines in the other inscriptions, are highly unlikely to be intentionally carved, and considers ST-7 a pseudo-inscription. See also {{bib|Schumacher & Salomon 2019}}: 173.

Image in Mandl 2011: Abb. 1 (photo). Numerous casts have been made of the Steinberg inscriptions; positives of the most recent one, made by the Institut für Ur- und Frühgeschichte Innsbruck in 1993, can be seen at the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum and the Archäologische Staatssammlung München. Drawings of the arrangement of the inscriptions in Vetter 1957: 386, Prosdocimi 1971: 30, Zavaroni 2004: Fig. 15 and Schumacher 2002: 1276 (= Schumacher 2004: Taf 8,1).

Putative traces of an inscription running vertically upwards between the typical frame lines some 25 cm to the right of the beginning of ST-6, proposed by Otto Kurz via Vetter (p. 385). Kurz read sinistroverse ḳịṣẹ, while Vetter saw kuse (with upsilon addU1 s) on the cast made by Kurz. Joppich 1971: 43 and Prosdocimi 1971: 46 agree that the scratches are "inutilizzabile". Schumacher 1998b: 173 f. observes that the traces, so much less clear than the lines in the other inscriptions, are highly unlikely to be intentionally carved, and considers ST-7 a pseudo-inscription. See also Schumacher & Salomon 2019: 173.
