Commentary

Ceramic beaker. "Bicchiere carenato a corpo allungato e piede ad anello" (cp. Leonardi & Ruta Serafini 1981: 20).
Different ceramic fragments recomposed and restored with modern pieces.
At two positions characters which can be considered workman's marks (cp. AS-23.1, AS-23.2).
Find year: 2003 or 2004.
Place of finding: Bostel, settlement, probably structure C1. Inventory number: 320442.
The present ceramic vessel was first published by Marinetti but obviously with particular regard to the characters (cp. Marinetti 2011b: 202 [No. 4]). In the recently released study about the Raetic inscriptions by Marchesini the reference Marinetti 2011b: 202 [No. 4] is erroneously assigned to another piece from Bostel (cp. AS-20 potsherd). However Marinetti refers in any case to the present object because she mentioned that "l'iscrizione è graffita nella parete interna" (cp. Marinetti 2011b: 202 [No. 4]) and the characters on one position are inside on the vessel wall. In fact, the present ceramic vessel is not listed in the MLR.
