Commentary
Further references more related to the inscriptions: Vetter 1957; Prosdocimi 1971. The inscriptions date to the La Tène period.
The find place is located in the Steinberg / Achensee region which is part of the Northern Limestone Alps. This mountain range is made of lighter and more porous rock at which the major component is limestone. Additionally dolomite, marl, sandstone or comparable components appear.
