Commentary

Length 2.7 cm. Rather faintly scratched. Initial is well legible; of inverted , only the hasta and the touching point of the two bars are well visible – the rest of the angle can only be guessed at. Between and , a short oblique scratch is visible, read i by Schumacher. The letter might have been left out and added as an afterthought (cp. lavisie vs. lavise in VN-1). If this reading is correct, the auslaut -ie suggests an interpretation of the sequence as a Raetic individual name munie.
