Commentary

First published in Von Wieser 1891: 321 f.

Picture in Von Wieser 1891: 321 (drawing).

Embossed with a broad chisel on the rim of the situla. Von Wieser, after consulting Carl Pauli, read (dextroverse) kicicii or ticicii, regarding the small stroke toward the right as a failed attempt. Whatmough suggested a separator. Most probably non-script or pseudo-script; possibly a manufacturer's mark (compare BZ-7)?.
