Commentary
First published in Franz 1959: 229 (A 2). Autopsied by TIR in November 2013.
Pictures in Franz 1959: Taf. 3,8 (drawing), IR (drawing = LIR) and LIR (photo).
Length 1.4 cm. Engraved into the tip of the tusk; a small piece broken off, damaging the middle section. Most probably purely ornamental (cp. SZ-85). See here for a discussion of possible interpretations of inscriptions with doubtful status.
