Commentary

First published in Marinetti 2011b: 203 (no. 6). Autopsied by TIR on 14th October 2015.

Images in Marinetti 2011b: 203 (6) (drawing), MLR (photo).

Inscribed on the narrow bottom of the beaker, the tops of the characters pointing towards the foot. The characters take up the entire breadth of the bottom; length about 3 cm. Both characters are well legible. The status of Ś3 s as a Raetic letter is dubious; in any case, the sequence is most probably a local workman's mark. Cp. AS-19.2, AS-20, AS-22 and AS-23, and the other instance on the present object.
