Inscribed on the narrow bottom of the beaker, the tops of the characters away from the foot. The characters take up the entire breadth of the bottom; length about 3.3 cm. Both characters are well legible. The sequence is most probably a local workman's mark. Cp. [[index::AS-19.2]], [[index::AS-21]], [[index::AS-22]] and [[index::AS-23]], and the other instances on the present object.
