In isolation the most obvious segmentation is pianu{{m||-s}} (benefactive genitive, see context in [[index::NO-15]]), but cp. {{w||pianusa}}, apparently with a base ''pianus'' plus {{m||-a|a}}-genitive. In Raetic context, the vocalic auslaut of names makes {{w||pianu}} more likely than ''pianus'', though it may be objectionable to extend this rule from anthroponyms to theonyms. Maybe a case of recutting?

Commentary

In isolation the most obvious segmentation is pianu-s (benefactive genitive, see context in NO-15), but cp. pianusa, apparently with a base pianus plus a-genitive. In Raetic context, the vocalic auslaut of names makes pianu more likely than pianus, though it may be objectionable to extend this rule from anthroponyms to theonyms. Maybe a case of recutting?
