Word
Language: Raetic
Word type: unknown

Meaning: unknown

Attestation: SL-2.1 (siraku:̣þurti) (1)

Commentary

Assuming that the form is Raetic, as indicated by the alphabet used, it is not otherwise attested in the Raetic corpus. It could qualify as an individual name in °i, but, being preceded by the potential individual name siraku, we would expect a patronym or other surname – see Raetic onomastics.

See also Marstrander 1925: 53 f. and Markey 2001: 112 for Celtic etymologies which are based on different readings of the word.
