Word
Language: Raetic
Word type: noun

Case: pertinentive
Number: plural
Gender: animate

Morphemic analysis: avaśu--er(a)-si
Meaning: 'by/for the Avaśu*'

Attestation: IT-5 (?:/]θ̣[ ]θ̣?kaịa[ ?/utiku:θaukịṣ/kleimunθeis/avaśuerasi:ihi) (1)

Commentary

Attested only once, the only documented case of combined inflectional endings in Raetic so far. For details and Etruscan (morphological) comparanda see De Simone 2013: 68 f. The base is without comparanda; De Simone suggests to identify the Avaśu* as a group of divine beings, the recipients of the votive gift.
