Commentary
Bronze (roasting) spit.
Compare also with two similar objects from Magdalenska gora (Weiss 1999c: 66, fig. 66 a–b) which related to the typology are identical, however they are taller than the spit from Verona. A really identical object however without an inscription is preserved also in Padua (Inv. No. XI-37).
Interpretation according to Salzani (cp. the summary given in Marinetti 1987: 138–139, fn. 5).
Different indications related to the date: 5th century, 6th-5th cneutries BC, beginning of the 4th century BC
