Commentary
First published in Mayr 1951: 133 (no. XII). Autopsied by TIR in October 2014.
Images in Mayr 1951: 133 (drawing), Pellegrini 1951: no. 12 (photo) and 313 (12) (drawing), LIR (photo and drawing = IR).
On the right horse's head, from right to left: four oblique lines, a hasta with two bars extending upwards on each side, and a smaller St. Andrew's cross. Right in the centre of the bronze, on the shared torso, a hash symbol. Clearly not script, possibly pseudo-script; see here for possible interpretations of dubious inscriptions.
Further references: Pellegrini 1951: 314 (no. 12), Mayr 1952: 176 (no. 12), Vetter 1954: 71 f.
