While there is an omphalos in between, carving over it should not have posed a problem. In any case, the punctuation mark may not be intentional - comparing it to the rest of the inscription is impossible due to a black inlay in the signs themselves.

The reading śe is improbable: The fourth stroke of the left-hand sign is oblique, a projection towards the small stroke below would have to be curved. While there is an omphalos in between, carving over it should not have posed a problem. In any case, the punctuation mark may not be intentional - comparing it to the rest of the inscription is impossible due to a black inlay in the signs themselves.
