Commentary

First published in IR. Autopsied by TIR in September 2014.

Images in IR (photo tav. LIV c and drawing = LIR) = MLR.

Listed as BZ-18 in Schumacher's corpus due to a wrong attribution by Mancini. For further information cp. NO-18 bowl and Dercolo.

A profusion of scratches of varying depth in two groups, the upper one (as in the drawing) about 7.2 cm, the lower one about 6.9 cm in length. While some of the lines form basic characters like Θ s or I s, many mesh and are part of zig-zag patterns. Possibly pseudo-script. See here for a discussion of possible interpretations of inscriptions with doubtful status.
