Molon's drawing (reproduced by Fiorelli) presents abstract letters rather than a facsimile, and Oberziner's is simply a copy of Fiorelli's; Nalli's drawing appears to be the most authentic one available. As already seen by {{bib|Pellegrini 1915}}: 123, the group on the left can be identified as the sequence {{c||I}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||I}}, which reoccurs on the bottom of beakers from [[index::Bostel]]. The longer sequence on the right may represent an inscription with linguistic content, cp. esp. [[index::AS-15]]. As {{bib|PID|Whatmough}} and {{bib|Pellegrini 1915|Pellegrini}} point out, a reading Iota instead of C is likely in both instances of an apparently curved line, as in {{c||I}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||Θ}}{{c||I}}, hence Whatmough's reading {{w||iθunaθuśi}}.
