None of these 'inscriptions' can be detected on the heavily corroded object with any certainty. Traces appear to be visible on old photos stored with the museum's record card.

While the strokes referred to could be detected on the heavily corroded object after a prolonged examination, the readings could not be verified.

Whatmough discerned "letters not easy to read" in three different places: χiukui[, three short vertical strokes "on the other side", and "below, where the rust has peeled off" ]un[. While the strokes referred to could be detected on the heavily corroded object after a prolonged examination, the readings could not be verified.
