Images in Fiorelli 1881: 154 (drawing by Francesco Molon), Oberziner 1883b: 163 (drawing = AIF I: Taf. II, 31), Nalli 1895: 258 (drawing).
Molon's drawing (reproduced by Fiorelli) presents abstract letters rather than a facsimile, and Oberziner's is simply a copy of Fiorelli's; Nalli's drawing appears to be the most authentic one available. As already seen by Pellegrini 1915: 123, the group on the left can be identified as the sequence , which reoccurs on the bottom of beakers from Bostel. The longer sequence on the right may represent an inscription with linguistic content, cp. esp. AS-15. As Whatmough and Pellegrini point out, a reading Iota instead of C is likely in both instances of an apparently curved line, as in , hence Whatmough's reading iθunaθuśi. We prefer not to speculate based on the dubious drawing.
