Commentary

Bronze in the shape of a horse.
In consequence of the bending of the leg Roberti states the proper name Il corsiero (cp. Roberti 1950: 179), Vetter uses the proper name Rennpferd (cp. Vetter 1954: 70) in accord with Mayr 1950: 333.
Almost the entire group of bronzes from Sanzeno was discovered between 1947 and 1949. The bronzes were found by chance in a sand pit (cp. Pellegrini 1951: 304; Vetter 1954: 66-67).
