Commentary

Fish shaped bronze.
In consequence of the fish shape Roberti states the proper name Il pesce (cp. Roberti 1950: 178), Vetter uses the proper name Bronzefisch (cp. Vetter 1954: 70). Pellegrini however indicates both versions, Il pesce as well as Fisch (cp. Pellegrini 1951: 306-308, fig. 1.a, fig. 1.b).
Almost the entire group of bronzes from Sanzeno was discovered between 1947 and 1949. The bronzes were found by chance in a sand pit (cp. Pellegrini 1951: 304; Vetter 1954: 66-67).
