Heta appears with two bars in the context of the Sanzeno alphabet, with three bars in the context of the Magrè alphabet. While in Magrè inscriptions, the letter is clearly used to write linguistic elements, its Sanzeno counterpart only occurs in slightly dubious contexts: the doubtful inscriptoid BZ-5, the lengthy, but peculiar RN-2 (though here in one of the probably language-encoding segments), and in IT-5 as part of a potentially para-script element. The typically Venetic form is attested only once (somewhat doubtfully) in a petrograph.
