Rock with Raetic inscriptions which date to the [[index::chronological classification|La Tène period]].<br>The find place [[index::Unterammergau]] is located in the Ammergau Alps (''Ammergebirge'') which is part of the Northern Limestone Alps. This mountain range is made of lighter and more porous rock at which the major component is limestone. Additionally dolomite, marl, sandstone or comparable components appear.

The rock is a large freestanding limestone lintel block with Raetic inscriptions on the perpendicular wall. It is situated in the Ammergebirge (Pürschlinggebiet) at about 1390 m a.s.l. ({{bib|Schumacher 2016}}: 825) in steep, pathless terrain, in relative proximity to [[index::UG-3 rock]] and a considerable number of further inscribed blocks (none with known Raetic inscriptions). Coordinates are not provided to prevent damage to the inscriptions.
