Sanzeno bowl.
Fine clay, from dark grey to brown in colour; inside on the bottom blackened; moderate tempered of fine grained sand and cast gold; reduction firing; burnished. High neck and the typical omphalos. Restored by composing different fragments.
Between neck and belly decoration in form of a circumferential ribbon. Below further decorations: at three positions a group of striae at which the number is alternating between 9 and 11. Between the striae-decorations a -shaped character which is part of the ornamentation. Decorations before firing.
On transition from the belly to the bottom characters.
The find date, June 1906, given by Mancini is uncertain (also Mancini indicates the find date as arguable; cp. LIR: 109). Further find circumstances like exact find place are unknown.
