Commentary

Bronze in the shape of a human or a fish.
Roberti states the proper name L'uomo-pesce (cp. Roberti 1950: 180); however Mayr describes the bronze as Männchen (cp. Mayr 1950: 407).
Almost the entire group of bronzes from Sanzeno was discovered between 1947 and 1949. The bronzes were found by chance in a sand pit (cp. Pellegrini 1951: 304; Vetter 1954: 66-67).
