Commentary

Bronze plaque.
Trough-shaped bent; on one end cut off smoothly, on the other side jagged broken. At the cut off end a rivet hole.
At the centre of the convex side a complete extant inscription.
The bronze plaque was found by Walter von Mörl on the top of the Putzer Gschleier, almost at the fall of the quarry, on 10 october 1946. In consequence a rescue excavation was executed under the direction of Walter von Mörl in 1949.
Schumacher indicates the Stadtmuseum Bozen / Museo Civico di Bolzano as repository (with inventory nr. 2405; cp. Schumacher 2004: 182). However, the study and autopsy of the objects preserved in the museum by the team of the Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum have shown that the bronze plaque is not kept there anymore. Probably the plaque is now preserved in the Amt für Bodendenkmäler Bozen / Ufficio Beni archeologici Bolzano.
