Commentary

Antler fragment.
Broken lengthwise and at the ends.
Remains of an inscription.
The archeological finds VR-6 antler, VR-7 bone and VR-8 bone were part of the excavations on the Colle del Castello di Montorio, near to Verona, in 1998 (cp. Marinetti 2004: 409).
The discoveries which all could be put into a context of residential structure, indicate an "ampio arco cronologico (dal V secolo all’età imperiale)"; a raetic presence however can be determined for the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. For more details see Marinetti 2004: 409.
