Commentary

First published in Schumacher 1994: 313f.

Image in Schumacher 1994: Ab. 4 (drawing = Schumacher 2004: Taf. 12,3 = LIR).

Length of the remains 2.6 cm. Inscribed on the bigger one of the two remaining pieces, more slightly scratched than VN-7.1. Of the fourth character, only part of an oblique line is left – possibly U s or U2 s, depending on how the inscription is turned, another Θ s, or A d (cp. VN-19). Non-script; see here for a discussion of possible interpretations of inscriptions with doubtful status.
