Bone plate | Bone plate.<br>Animal bone, not further classified. Calcined.<br>The above-mentioned dimensions result of the autopsy by the ''{{SITENAME}}''. Schumacher indicates: "''G. 3,5 x 1,1 cm''" (cp. {{bib|Schumacher 2004}}: 177).<br>Along an [[index::VN-2|inscription]].<br>Like all the bone findings on the [[index::Ganglegg]] hill the bone plate dates to 3rd–1st centuries BC (cp. {{bib|Gamper & Steiner 1999}}: 50–51).<br>Until 1992 in private property of Karl Pohl. Commentary
Bone plate.
Animal bone, not further classified. Calcined.
The above-mentioned dimensions result of the autopsy by the Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum. Schumacher indicates: "G. 3,5 x 1,1 cm" (cp. Schumacher 2004: 177).
Along an inscription.
Like all the bone findings on the Ganglegg hill the bone plate dates to 3rd–1st centuries BC (cp. Gamper & Steiner 1999: 50–51).
Until 1992 in private property of Karl Pohl. The current location however is the Vintschger Museum / Museo della Val Venosta.
In the recently released study about the Raetic inscriptions by Marchesini the fragmentary bone is listed with "MLR 246"; an autopsy was not effected and the indications related to the bone fragment are in accord with Schumacher 2004 and Gamper 2006 (cp. MLR: 217 [MLR 246]; drawing = Schumacher 2004: pl. 3.1).
Autopsied by the Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum in September 2014.
