Commentary

Unpublished.

Length 2.1 cm; inscribed on the end of the straight part of a bone point. Slightly scratched, the letters, being fairly tall, wind around the object; final E s almost makes the full round. The lines of particularly untidy K s are repeatedly scratched. The second letter cannot be identified securely: The easily visible part suggests shortish U3 s, but this would not fit in with tip-down U2 s in the other testimonies from the Ganglegg. The faint traces of another angle line d 01 sline v 01 s below the first indicate E s or V s, as tall as final E s, with the middle part gone. Cp. VN-12.
