Commentary

The inscription on the other side of the object, with a parallel in SZ-62, reads la, but no twig can be made out here - unless one chooses to consider an oblong trace beside the top end of the rightmost I s a stroke, which would give L s. Compare also SZ-77 and SZ-93 for scratchings (non-script) in the same place on axes.
