Commentary

Handle of a bronze vessel.
According to the typology the handle is part of a situla.
Patina from dark green to blackish in colour with light green patches; smoothed. Both ends broken.
At two positions identical inscriptions (cp. SZ-37.1 as well as SZ-37.2).
According to Mancini the bronze handle was found in autumn 1899, however Mancini does not indicate further information about the find circumstances (cp. LIR: 122).
Autopsied by the Thesaurus Inscriptionum Raeticarum in November 2013.
