Commentary

First published in PID. Autopsied by TIR in November 2013.

Pictures in LIR (photo and drawing).

Inscription length 1.8 cm. If sinistroverse, the orientation of S d is unusual. The short strokes of I s are due to the curvature of the handle. Compare the identical inscription SZ-38 on an iron sword. Possibly a factory mark in the Pertinentive -si, with the manufacturer's name shortened () (Schumacher 2004: 299 f.).
